When a new construction called for a highly-efficient and reliable KVM matrix switch to distribute computer-based content around the vessel over a fiber backbone in the highest quality possible, De Keizer Marine Engineering turned to IHSE to provide a solution.
The requirement for the system is to provide fully flexible distribution, switching and display of all video sources and audio signals to projectors, TFT monitors and loudspeakers on media walls.
Technicolor was introduced to a future offering of an HD DVI Extender solution from IHSE that demonstrated the potential to meet the required need: no noise in the final content, high-definition DVI at 60 fps and an inter-frame switching speed between clients.
Full and complete flexibility was needed to control the entire operations center, which is achieved with a configuration of four fully-populated Draco Major KVM switches. In total this allows 128 computers to be switched to 64 operator stations.
