The HiSOR research team is located throughout the vast HiSOR center, and each member requires instant and flexible access to a bank of computer servers housed in a dedicated server room.
After a recent relocation of the control center into another operations building, this provided an opportunity to revise and upgrade existing operational methods, by distributing data to it's control center, as well as their simulation rooms.
To transmit video signals over a large distance, IHSE's Draco Compact KVM extenders were chosen, enabling artifact-free transmission from the DVS Blades to the screens over the multi-mode fiber installed through the building.
The new studio design leaves nothing to be desired: the flexible KVM system provides highly reliable, near-instantaneous seamless switching. Allocation and access management is easily managed and the system can be programmed to meet any required configuration at the push of a button.
Working with OOBAXS to design and deploy a solution using IHSE's Draco Tera Enterprise KVM matrix switch, Shapeshifter Post was the first post-production facility in Hollywood to embrace the high speed technology.
