Maximum speed, Minimum Cabling IHSE introduces 100 Mbit/s USB 2.0 upgrade modules

IHSE extends the successful Draco Vario KVM Extender series with a new USB 2.0 module, enabling signal extension of up to four USB 2.0 devices within the KVM data stream at high speed, without additional cables.

KVM extenders allow user workstations, comprising a keyboard, video monitor and mouse, to be separated from computers and digital video sources. The new device enables USB 2.0 signals to be transmitted within the data stream with no additional cables required. Users can connect peripheral devices, including memory and audio peripherals at their consoles for connection to the computer being used.  The unit can also be configured to operate with USB 1.1 devices for compatibility with devices using that standard.

The compact, half-width, architecture is supplied as an upgrade to the Draco Vario and Draco Ultra KVM extenders series and offers an integrated 4-port USB 2.0 hub with a bandwidth of up to 100 Mbit/s. Using a sophisticated data protocol, the extender achieves data rates six times higher than conventional USB 2.0 modules: the fastest speed in the KVM industry.
